Buffalo Biodiesel is in growth mode and is currently seeking an experienced Controller to report to our President and oversee the business financials. The ideal candidate will have five or more years experience in a related industry as the primary point of contact in their organization for finance.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and consolidating financial data
• Supervising accounting and financial departments
• Creating strategic plans for financial operations
• Preparing financial statements, both internal and external
• Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations
• Coordinating external auditor activity
• Managing budgeting and forecasting processes
• Establish and maintain financial controls
• Assess and improve accounting procedures
• Identify, develop, and monitor KPIs
• Screen, hire, train, and retain accounting department employees
• Bank Reconciliations
• Supervise and Monitor AP Clerk

Qualifications

• CPA license
• Master's degree in Accounting or related field
• Fluency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Honest, responsible, and accountable for tasks
• Ability to work onsite in downtown Buffalo, New York
• Ability to learn quickly and hit the ground running

Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.
